Randomly Cute Pictures of Noah

Well, since I have been hanging out with Noah on maternity leave and it is January in Boston, and I hate driving around here, we don't get out much. We wait for Daddy to take us out for the most part. As such, nothing very exciting has happened since we got back from our road trip last weekend. We had a couple of visitors from my work stop by, for which I will be eternally grateful! :) So instead of narrating a long diatribe about the number of messy diapers and the continuing excessive lengths of Noah's nursing sessions, I have included some cute (but random) pictures of the goings on from the last week or so. Enjoy!

Since we were so anxious to leave the hospital Christmas morning, we packed away the camera and sent it down to the car before we took pictures. We finally got around to figuring out how to download this one Daddy took on his cell phone. I maintain it is one of the cutest pictures we have of the little man, all bundled up and tiny. Of course, it wasn't 5 minutes after we got home when Noah pooed all over this adorable outift and we moved on to outfit number 2!

Yet another cute picture of the wee man, this was taken a few days ago and it was a semi-smile. Of course he was checking out his mommy at the time! :)

Check out the adorable slippers (pichous) that we got for Noah. We finally found something other than socks that fit his feet, too bad they are already getting a little tight after only a week.

Apparently, activity gyms are not only entertaining for babies, but they also serve as entertainment for the cats as well. Mia decided to try it out in a new way though, under the mat is some how more appealing to the furry variety than on top of the mat?? Hmmm, interesting.

Noah and I napping on the couch with two of the furry ones. Mia is between my legs, and Elliot is draped across. It had been a long day of fussing and constant nursing, so this was a welcome break from baby chaos.

Noah hanging out with Daddy after getting a bottle for a change, also the same chaotic day...I needed a break so I pumped and passed him off to someone else for a change. Isn't he cute in his hoodie, although he looks like he could be trouble later on!

This is my absolute favorite picture of Noah. We took it this weekend after I fed him and changed his diaper, so he is not only awake, but happy too!

Noah's first road trip!

Noah visited Maine for the first time this past weekend. Daddy was on vacation, so we decided to drive up and visit family who haven't seen the new little man yet. Traveling with a new baby is ridiculously complicated. Other than a few couple hour-long trips out to run errands and get out of the house, this was the first time we had to pack up to travel with Noah. Let me tell you, packing for a long weekend is far different than throwing together a diaper bag...what a mess. The grown-ups managed to pack everything in a small rolling tote bag, while Noah needed a bouncy seat, a large tote full of supplies, and a backpack full of clothes...how does such a little dude need so much stuff??? Just as we were getting ready to leave Thursday afternoon, Noah decided he needed yet another mid-afternoon snack, so we got on the road over an hour after we had planned, but at least we made it in one piece and in good time.

Friday, we visited Memere B at work, check him out, sleeping on the job!

After lunch with Memere at work, we headed up north a bit to L.L. Bean. Noah hung out with Daddy in his Baby Bjorn and was really well behaved all the way through shopping and Starbucks....then he reached his limit and decided it was time for a feeding and a diaper change. It was a complete mess and a fiasco, but everyone survived unscathed for the most part. I was a little worse for the wear emotionally, but this too shall pass.

Saturday and Sunday were spent visiting lots of family and friends, including his great grandmother, great Memere P!

Overall, it was an exhausting trip, and we are excited to be home, but what fun to visit Maine with a new little man...our first of many trips.

One cute nursery

Since many friends and family haven't been able to stop by and visit Noah and I at home, I figured I would create a posting to show everyone what his little nursery looks like. We have gotten so much help in getting ready for Noah's arrival and we can't thank our friends and family enough for all of your generosity and support. Although Noah is still a bit too young to fully enjoy his room, I'm sure it will be a very popular place in a few months.

This picture shows Noah's little armoire where his clothes live and the handmade shelves that Daddy and Pepere L made for his room. Yes, the picture frames are empty here, but rest assured, we ordered the pictures online last night, so they will be filled soon.

I made this cross-stitch for Noah while I was pregnant. It took over 6 months of toiling and untangling knots, but its finished and it matches the rest of the room perfectly!

Here are the change table and the adorable wall decorations and lamp that go with the moon and stars bedding set.

Check out all of the cards that people have sent to welcome Noah to the family. We have the most perfect memory box now that Nana made to keep them in once we decide to take them down. You can also see the crib, where he is now finally sleeping (after almost a month in a basket in our bedroom)!

Nana and Pepere L bought us this great mirror that goes perfectly with the room and the cross-stitch, isn't it cute?

Has he changed already?

So its now well into January and Noah is getting bigger by the day...where has time gone? It seems like just yesterday we were taking him home from the hospital in a panic that we would some how wreck his 3 day old life! Well, we have managed to keep him alive, happy, and dare we say thriving for over 2 weeks. To prove it, I have included some recent pictures of him. Yes, his face has definitely changed, and he is about 8 pounds now! We are working on getting some more great pictures now that his baby acne has cleared up.

Noah was helping me to check my email, apparently the task was just too much for him to stay awake though! :) This one was taken on 12/28, he was only 5 days old.

In the mornings, after his breakfast, sometimes we like to lay in bed together while the house warms up. Elliot decided to join us this morning and as you can see, no one was really ready to get out of bed anytime soon! (Taken 12/30/07)

While Daddy was on vacation, Noah finally lost his umbilical cord stump, now he officially has a belly button! (Taken 1/7/08)

And check out his super cute toes! This was right before I turned them blue making foot prints for his scrapbook! :)
