Best "You know you live in Boston when..." story ever

Holy cow...I have the absolute best "you know you live in Boston when..." story ever!!!! This is from circa 8:15 this morning and I swear it is something I will not soon forget. So I have dropped off the wee man, taken off my mommy hat and put on my grown up hat and started on my way through my ~45 minute commute. NPR is on the radio and as usual they are talking up a storm about the financial crisis, soaring unemployment rates, and the general disarray that is the current US economy...I am only half listening since I feel like I have heard the same words for the last 2 months. I am calmly driving down Route 28 in Cambridge, heading towards the Lechmere T stop area. I am in the middle lane of traffic and up ahead in the right lane I see two smaller SUVs stopped and frankly, it looks like they are parked there. I am just about to curse them out in my head for blocking up rush hour traffic when the occupants of said vehicles evacuate. My first thought was, "Oh, too bad, they must have had a fender bender." I still hadn't reached the area yet when I saw one guy throw a punch. Next thing I knew there were 3 grown men all out brawling in the middle of the road. Did I mention, I was driving in the middle of the road??? Needless to say I had to stop dead in my tracks so as not to run over the pig pile of grown adults acting like 5 year olds. As they are fighting I see glasses flying into the middle of the road, someone got shoved into my car at one point...seriously, who has this much anger at 8:15 in the morning??? I ended up having to sit there for a couple minutes while they moved their fight to the snow banking on their side of the road. I saw about 5 people in the general area on their cells as this was taking place, so I didn't personally call the cops, but what a story to tell when I made it into work! Only in Boston!
