What Noah has learned this week!

Noah is still sleeping in our room with us at night since I am continuing to breastfeed him and it is cold at night. He sleeps in a bassinet and then comes into bed with me for a mid-night snack. The cats seem to think that the bassinet is a great place to sleep, so we find ourselved forever chasing a cat out. Mia has taken it to a new level though, now she thinks that its her turn for a feeding and I find myself with not only a Noah in my lap to breastfeed, but usually a Mia as well. Tim decided to put a bib on her to see what would happen...not much, just a nasty look! :)

Noah has gotten a couple of new tricks up his sleeve over the past week or so...he learned to smile, and although its not as often as I would like, it may be the cutest thing ever. I am working on getting a picture of the smile, for now it is elusive when the camera is out. He has also learned that bathtime can be fun. As long as he isn't too hungry, he has gotten rather fond of the warm water and the soap bubbles. This is a very different Noah than the previous bath picture where he was red faced and screaming! A much less traumatic event for everyone involved!

Noah and I went in today to visit the ladies at work. Now that the undergrads are back from Christmas break, a few of them were very anxious to meet the little man. We had a good visit, though I spaced out and forgot the pumped milk in the fridge, so I had to feed him in one of the testing rooms while we were there...the poor lone male undergrad didn't know what to think when I came out! :) Poor guy. The Psychology Department got Noah a great present, which they gave us while we were visiting. I had one of these just like it when I was little, though my name was not on mine! It can be a cute little seat for him, and later on, when he needs to reach the sink, the back comes down to make a step-stool for him! How thoughtful, and what a great personalized gift!
