Noah was shot :(

So somehow it seems as though with all of the science and technological advances, no one seems to have been able to figure out how to give vaccines to a baby without completely traumatizing everyone involved...baby...mom...dad, its just not right. How is it that the best way to protect your child is to bring them into the doctor's office and request that he get repeatedly stabbed with needles?? As you can probably guess I am a bit of a mess today since Noah got his two-month shots (the first round of three big ones). He gets the same round again at 4 and 6 months, but we'll deal with that when it comes along, for now we are in denial that we have to do this again. The poor little man was so sweet and well-behaved all morning and then things went downhill. He got three shots total, two in his left leg and one in his right. I know its for the best and these keep him safe from some pretty awful diseases, but the aftermath of these things lasted the whole day, the wailing, the crankiness, and the guilt. Noah was SO cranky and SO sleepy that I felt like a bad guy for subjecting him to such injustices. Thankfully, the 4-month appointment is on a Wednesday, which is Tim's watch, so he'll get to feel like the bad guy next time! :)
