Other than that, things have been fairly quiet on the home front over the last couple of weeks. I had my 6-week postpartum appointment with Dr. Dixon yesterday. Although it certainly got old forever having to go for another doctor's appointment, I found myself sad as I left the office, realizing that I wouldn't frequently be seeing her and the office staff I had gotten to know so well over the last 10 months and that this really was the official end of the pregnancy and recovery. I guess now its on to a new chapter and we are on our own! I'll have to attach myself to the pedatrics staff now, I am sure I will be seeing them more than I care to :) Speaking of moving on, I am in the process of trying to get Noah on a feeding and napping routine, which works well some days and not well at all on other days. Today is one of those other days! :) He is not into feeding on schedule at all today, he falls asleep when I try to nurse him on time and then wakes up screaming for a feeding when he is supposed to be napping.
Here is what is supposed to be a nap...see the open eyeballs!?!? He is still in there fussing around as I type this. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow.
We have finally found a daycare for Noah, a cute small place that will only have 2 other boys there when Noah starts in early March. The lady that runs it, Mary Lou has been taking care of kids as a licensed provider for 30 years and she seems like she is going to be like another grandma for Noah! But for now, however, I am in denial that I have to go back to work and we are just going to enjoy the last month of maternity leave. Hopefully we can find a good Valentine's day shirt for the wee man for next week, I'll post more pictures and updates soon.
